timelox was a patch I wrote in 2004 when my own log files started filling up with
those stupid brute force attacks. timelox is no longer maintained, but since many
pages seem to be linking here I put up this placeholder.

here was supposed to be a link to the original patch, along with some notes about
known bugs. unfortunately, I just found out my backup got corrupted, so you will
just have to take my word for it. :)

a few people had their take on timelox. two versions I remember are by chris,
but I no longer have the link for his, and bil, who maintains it till today here.
